While the amount of time likely to be expended on many matters is too unpredictable to offer flat fee rates, Crumpton Law is pleased to provide flat fees for some services. See the frequently asked questions page for information on Crumpton Law’s current hourly rate.

SMALL BUSINESS

Start-Up Business Entity Formation Package For Single Member Entities —  $500 plus Secretary of State filing fee

  • File entity formation documents; Draft LLC operating agreement/corporate regulations; Draft initial meeting minutes of entity; Obtain Employer Tax Identification number; Serve as registered agent; Provide advice on how to maintain entity protection. (ONLY APPLIES TO SOLE MEMBER ENTITY. Operating agreements can be significantly more complicated if there is more than one person in the entity.)

Non-Compete Agreement – $500

  • Crumpton Law will consult with your business to discuss its issues and concerns to customize the Ohio non-compete agreement to the unique needs of your company. The non-compete agreement will be specific to Ohio law and will be written with the intent to be fully effective under Ohio law. Because the firm regularly litigates Ohio non-compete agreements, we understand how they should be written.

Independent Contractor Agreement – $300

  • Many growing small businesses would like to add to staff, but cannot always afford to hire employees because of the long-term commitment, tax, regulatory, and other issues associated with employees. For those businesses, hiring an independent contractor to provide specific services is often an attractive solution. Crumpton Law consults with your business to discuss its needs and writes a customized independent contractor agreement for your company.

Trademark – $325 plus USPTO filing fee

  • Conduct federal trademark database search; Draft Trademark application; Counsel Client on Trademark maintenance. (ONLY APPLIES IF MARK IS CURRENTLY IN USE. If not, a “Statement of Use” must be filed, which requires a $100 filing fee, and a $150 attorney fee. Contact Crumpton Law for more information on trademark registration.)

Flat Fee Document Drafting: Crumpton Law will draft documents tailored to your specific needs and provide advice on how to use the documents for the following flat fees:

  • Co-songwriter composition agreement – $150 (This document is needed by any songwriter who collaborates with others during the creation of the songs.)
  • Master sound recording work-for-hire agreement – $150 (This document is needed by anyone who is hiring or plans to hire another person to play an instrument, sing, engineer, or provide production on a recording. It is especially important for anyone seeking to put out a record or form a record label.)
  • Copyright registration for one work or compilation – $150 plus filing fees
  • Concert performance/personal appearance agreement - $150 (This document is needed by any promoter or venue planning to promote a concert or event and by any artist planning on performing at an event.)
